My beloved spiritual master and teacher — Yogi Amandeep – recently taught us about the Akash Ganga.
The Akash Ganga is a mystical river, a cosmic river.
This river flows as an extension of the Mother Ganga river in India.
Yogi Ji told us that yogis ride the pulse within the human body’s Shushumna channel on into this river as a way to travel different dimensions. Traveling different dimensions is not what you think. This is not about escaping this world or escaping this life. This is not a Siddhi or magical power. It is nothing like that. You don’t go shooting off into outer space. This is about getting in touch with your deepest inner space.
This is a challenge to you to ride your pulse into the Sushumna Channel as a way to connect to All of Life — light and dark. This is a way to plug your aliveness into All That Is.
Here, I share a meditation Yogi Amandeep taught. It is so simple and so beautiful. This meditation will support the expansion of your consciousness.
Meditation to Travel The Akash Ganga
Sit with your spine erect. Your legs can be crossed as you sit on the floor, or sit in a chair. The most important thing is to sit with a long, erect spine. Put alertness into it. Close your eyes and focus the eyeballs at the Third Eye point between the brows. Do not let the eyes move, not for anything. Keep the eyes absolutely still.
Bring all of your awareness into your hands, particularly your index fingers (for the yogis the index fingers are the Guru energy) and your thumbs (for yogis, the thumbs are the ego energy). Bring the index finger and thumb into Gyan Mudra. The pad of the Index Finger touches the pad of the Thumb.
Feel the pulse in the index finger and the thumb. Feel there are two different pulses in these two different fingers. Even if you feel nothing, imagine feeling it.
Now, consciously synchronize these two pulses until they pulse One Pulse.
When they pulse One Pulse, move that pulse up your arms and into your spine. When you are in the spine, stay still and focused there. Don’t expect anything. Don’t force anything. Just be open and receptive to anything. Watch. Witness. Then witness yourself witnessing.
If you get frustrated that absolutely nothing is happening, let go of that. This is not about a happening. Be very patient and very still. Allow the journey to surprise you. It is a secret journey. The journey is not what you may be thinking, assuming, expecting, or hoping.
May this experience and all that you experience lead you to bliss!
May we meet on the banks of the Akash Ganga. Please know, whoever is reading this, my pulse is smiling at you.
Every day, I am committing to this simple practice, and its result has been profound. In my awareness, I have witnessed the mountains moving. Any more than that, I cannot share. It’s a perfect secret.
I am trembling with Infinite gratitude.
I bow my head at the banks of the Akash Gang. I kiss the star dust that is speeding past my smiling lips.
I bow to my teacher Yogi Amandeep for transmitting this beautiful, simple gift. I encourage all who enjoyed this post to sign up for the Yogi Amandeep Newsletter here:
