When Mothers Pray, Infinity Must Listen

Yogi Bhajan said, “The most powerful prayer in the universe is the prayer of the mother.”

So, envision a whole collective of mothers coming together to pray for schools and communities that are safe, nurturing, and conscious.  This collective prayer is for communities that encourage mothers to raise blissful children.  This prayer is for every human being to heal and uplift the mother within and the child deep within everyone.

Mother’s Prayer for Safe Schools

Violence is a fixture that churns deep in the American psyche.

Violence pervades our most seemingly innocent experiences, from going to the mall to walking through the park.  No  matter what it is a typical American does on a typical day, violent images, memories, song lyrics, movie scenes, words, ideas, stories, and language accompany every move we make.

To appreciate the depth to which we are steeped in violence, we need to appreciate the workings of the subconscious mind and the subtle realm.  We need to become more deeply conscious.  We need to be deeply aware of the ways that glorification of violence influences the subconscious mind.

In America today, most people do not want to admit it or do not choose to notice, but violence exists as a prominent leader in the American Subtle Consciousness.  Most people are not paying attention to the subtle realm.  Why should they?  After all, the subtle realm is subtle.  And if you do not practice any form of yoga, meditation, or mindfulness, chances are you have no idea that the subtle realm even exists.

The first gross solution is to get rid of guns.

The solution for the mind is to clean the subconscious of its garbage.  The way to do that is meditation.

Pushing measures through the government and legal system are useless.

Instead, change the brain!

Here is a sure fie way to protect children through violence:

Chant the Mother’s Prayer for Her Child eleven times as your child falls asleep at night.  Even if your child is grown and moved away, chant this prayer for your child every day, eleven times a day.  Do this every day without fail.  While chanting, expand your awareness to swaddle every child — even your inner child — in this blessing.  Sat Nam!

40 Days of Radiant Words

Day One

According to yogic numerology, 2017 is a year to relate to the Radiant Body.

Yogis know that we are much greater than the limits of the physical body; so, cultivating awareness of all ten light bodies of consciousness is a reward and challenge of a daily yoga practice.  These are the ten bodies:  1.  The Soul Body.  2.  The Negative Mind.  3.  The Positive Mind.  4.  The Meditative Mind. 5.  The Physical Body.  6.  The Arc Line.  7.  The Aura.  8.  The Pranic Boday.  9.  The Subtle Body.  10.  The Radiant Body.

The Radiant Body implores a yogi to nourish the realms of consciousness that inspire creativity and courage.

Each day, one might ask this:  How can my unique radiant light body of my own consciousness best express its best creativity and courage in this particular time and space?

There is a meditation to practice to strengthen the radiant body.  The mantra to chant is “Ajai Alai”.

I adore this description of the mantra in The Aquarian Teacher text book: the mantra “Ajai Alai,” also known as the Ik Acharee Chand mantra is so effective that “[o]nce you recite the mantra correctly, it will give you the power that whatever you say must happen.”

I am always seduced by the promised benefits of practicing meditation, but the further I journey on my spiritual path, meditation becomes less and less a matter of something that I do in order to achieve the benefits.  Meditation becomes a habit of mind and being.  Any particular meditation receives a chance to express its own sacredness through my unique being.  Meditation is less about achieving benefits and more about the pure pleasure, pain, anger, boredom, or sadness of experiencing my own consciousness in relationship to this particular practice.

End notes in the meditation manual instruct us to chant each sound of the mantra and “hear each word as a world.”  Each word is projected from the throat and vibrates the whole head.

Yes.  I appreciate this sense: Every word is a world.  This is the kind of rich experience of reality that I am always seeking.  I am sure that I long to speak, listen to, read, and write every word as if each is an entire world.  Let me write that again…  I long to listen to every word as if it is a world.  Every word, a world.  Imagining the dimensions of words offers me a sense of reclaiming words as deep, dimensional, and sacred.  To my meditative mind, talk is never cheap.  To my meditative mind, there is no such things as empty words.  When I can consciously treat each word as a world–not just when chanting but always– then I can know how to speak and walk carefully, lightly in this world and with reverence.

I continue to cultivate a relationship with my own words so that I know their power.  That’s why most of what I want to say, write, think, or speak I try to express in the form of a humble prayer.

May I continue to walk tall, reach out and touch others with great love and royal courage. May I continue to feel the pure joy of sitting, breathing, chanting, and being.  May I vibrate the Cosmos so that the Cosmos may clear the path.  May the benefits of this practice be received by all beings.

May You Prosper #11

Sacred geometry of the universe as it is expressed through you–that is prosperity.  Become intimate with the angles and triangles of your inner knowing.  Dance and be aware of the spiraling movement of energy everywhere.  Feel free to raise your heart to the sky and breathe.  Be long and deep, breathing welcome in; and, then become out.  Be rhythmic: breath, navel, tongue, mudra, mantra, mind, sense, gaze, soul.  Allow all beauty to enter the vast chambers of your being.  Continue to chisel your presence into something so powerful and pure.  Anyone walking near to you will instantly start an inward chant:

Welcome  become  welcome  become  welcome  become  welcome  become welcome become welcome.

Har   har   har   har   har   har   har   har   har   har   har.

May You Prosper #9

Prosperity means you are YOU, you are real, and you are fully engaged in all of life with your most expansive awareness and biggest heart.  Prosperity means that your mind obeys your soul.  When you feel prosperous and acknowledge your prosperity, you feel so much gratitude that every breath of life and every beat of the heart is simply a repetition of thank you  thank you  thank you  thank you.  Doesn’t matter what comes your way:  thank you  thank you  thank you!

May You Prosper #5

It’s very late, and I must wake early.  Why write?

I feel compelled to send out this prosperity blessing, this wish, hope, desire, vibration, whether it actually reaches a reader or not.

A student came to class today and told me that he felt he was walking a thin line psychologically.  He feels unsafe and wants to protect himself.  His thoughts had been keeping him occupied with two options.  He wondered if it will be enough to send out positive energy from within himself to the universe.  Will inwardly chanting mantras really work to keep him in peaceful environments; likewise, will sending out love vibrations really protect him from the surprise violence of the world?  Alas, this duality irks him: should he remain an unarmed, ordinary, peaceful man who practices yoga?  Or, should he go out a buy a gun to feel he can protect himself?

“So, you feel torn between two options.”  I said.  He nodded.  I smiled.

During the class I placed a kind of intention onto the rippling surface of the sound current.

May we continue to chant and practice, come what may.  The best weapon and the only weapon is our discipline.  All the rest, we must leave it up to grace.  That way we may rest in grace.

At the end of the class, the student was convinced he did not need to go out a buy a gun.  “If I am faced with the barrel of a gun pointed to my third eye,” he said, pointing, “If I am faced with death, I shall remain fixed, in my mind, on a mantra:   har har har har har har har har har.

Even the flowers, so violently plucked from their roots too soon, freely share their fragrance long after they have been plucked.

May we continue to bow to the wisdom of the flowers.

Please join the global meditation to Activate Prosperity.

Diamond Mind, Creator’s Mind

Day Ten

“The mind is above time and space.  If you decide not to complain, the mind will immediately compensate you with intuition.” ~Yogi Bhajan

Besides, intuition feels so much better than complaining.  There’s so much too complain about: I’m underpaid.  The weather’s bad.  I don’t get enough sleep.  I don’t get enough love.  I’m surrounded by stupid people.

Such complaints are not worthy of diamond mind energy.  When salary is too low, revel in the expertise and heart you devote to your craft.  When the weather makes us physically uncomfortable, compose a song.  When sleep deprived, commit to exploring and discovering the space within you where there are wells of boundless pranic energy.  When love starved, give more love away.  When surrounded by stupid people, bathe them in the light of your mind.
